Upcoming Activities

Michael and I try to plan a variety of activities that people might enjoy doing with us. Hikes are generally dog-friendly unless we say otherwise. Please RSVP to let us know if you're joining us. If no one RSVPs we will often make alternate plans and we certainly don't want to exclude you if you were planning on joining us.

Toad the Wet Sprocket

RSVP

Location: Anthology
Date: Wednesday, March 10
Time: 4:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Cost: $42

We have purchased our tickets in First Floor Dining. The show is at 7:30. Doors open at 5:30 but seating in that area is first come first serve so I'd think that maybe we need to be in line around 4:30. So, if you're interested, purchase your tickets on line and then let us know you'll be meeting us in line. You will need to order something at the table as well but there are things that are reasonable.

Desert Wildflower Photo Safari

RSVP

Location: Borrego Springs
Date: Saturday, March 13
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Cost: split of gas

We'll leave my house at 9:00 a.m. There is a site that shows where the wildflowers are the best on any given weekend so we'll map out our route a couple of days before this. Plan on wearing good hiking shoes because sometimes they're a little ways in from the road. Depending on weather you might want to bring a windbreaker and of course, plan on bringing a camera.

26th Annual St. Patty's Day Feast

RSVP

Location: my house
Date: Wednesday, March 17
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Cost: Bring a side dish to share or green for the kitty. I will have some beverages but please plan to BYOB.

You are invited to the 25th Annual celebration of the Feast of St. Patrick. In honour o' the day, I ask that ye wear something green and bring the beverage o' your choosin'. Please also bring a dish to share or some green for the pot o' gold.

Last year we had something in the neighborhood of 45 pounds of corned beef, 15 pounds of potatoes, 8 heads of cabbage and unlimited amounts of other munchies etc. so please come hungry!

As always, an RSVP is appreciated (but not necessary) so that I can plan up or down on the quantities. Children welcome as well.

Due to my current resident animal population, please pre-approve any pawed guests for compatibility.

Dog Friendly Hike

RSVP

Location: TBD
Date: Saturday, March 28
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Cost: Free

We don't yet know where we're going but where ever it is, it will be dog friendly. Any suggestions?

An Etiquette Note:
What RSVP Means - The term R.S.V.P. comes from the French expression "respond s'il vous plaît", meaning "please respond". If R.S.V.P. is written on an invitation it means the invited guest must tell the host whether or not they plan to attend the party. It does not mean to respond only if you're coming, and it does not mean respond only if you're not coming (the expression "regrets only" is reserved for that instance). It means the host needs a definite head count for the planned event, and needs it by the date specified on the invitation.
