Nico is a rescue dog that grabbed my heart. My friend, Kelly, pulled him deaf and alone from an LA shelter where he had all but given up. He looked much worse than these photos, if you can believe it, and that was only one week ago. Look for the hope in his eyes, that I believe I caught in some of these shots, and pray along with all of us that his future holds nothing but promise. Once he's healthy enough, he will be traveling to Indiana where a kind group of people are going to train him through the silence that is his present and help him to be able to communicate with the forever family that is hopefully in his future.
